The Big 0-3 and 3-2

I can't believe it's already been three years since my beautiful baby girl was born.  She has brought so much joy and entertainment to my life.  I'm so proud to be your Mommy.  I love you dearly, my Greta!  I'm also so lucky to have a wonderful husband who has always been at my side.  I couldn't ask for a better man to spend my life with.  I love you, Bryan!
Last night, Daddy and I decided to fill Greta's room with balloons while she slept (when she was asked what she wanted for her birthday, she always requested balloons and cake).  Unfortunately, our plan back-fired.  At about 2:00 in the morning I felt a little hand on my foot, "Mommy, there's balloons in my room."  She wasn't too thrilled to find her room a mess with balloons, so we had to kick them out into the hallway for the night.  She did have fun playing with them in the morning, though.

Now that Greta's the big 0-3, she decided she was going to conquer her fear of the big tunnel slide at the lake park.  She went down multiple times all by herself.  Way to go, big girl!

Throwing rocks in the lake.  I'm so glad we had a nice sunny day for our celebrations.

Birthday breakfast at the local bakery.

Opening presents.

We made a trip to the Goose Gang (the newest toy store in town) to pick out a special treat.  Greta picked purple shaping foam and a marble maze.

And dessert, too.

Let the B-day Celebrations Begin

June is a pretty crazy month around the Gillespie household with birthdays, our anniversary, and Father's Day.  We started out our celebrations today with ice cream cone cupcakes for all of Greta's daycare friends.

Trip to the Park...28 Weeks

Now that Greta's almost three, she's becoming quite brave at the parks.  We were lucky enough to get in a little outside play this last rainy weekend in Blaine.
She's now cruising down the big slides at our local park, and not wanting anybody to catch her.

On top of the rock mountain.

Last Friday I had my 28 week appointment.  The baby's heartbeat was in the 160's and everything continues to look good.  I'm starting to feel a little more uncomfortable, with more pressure up into my ribs and lots of kicking :)

Happy Mother's Day!

I'm having a fantastic Mother's Day!  The day started out with snuggle time, walking out into the kitchen to find my new reclining deck chair, church with my sweeties, brunch, and a nap.  We're hoping to go for a walk and enjoy the nice day next :)  The only thing that would have made the day a little better would have been having my mom here as well.  We're looking forward to celebrating with you next weekend!

Happy May Day!

I always remember having fun delivering May Day baskets to my friends as a child, and decided Greta should have the same experience.  Last night we were busy buying supplies and making our baskets, and then today Greta got to deliver them to all her daycare and neighborhood friends.  She did a great job walking her baskets up to the door and ringing the door bells, but wasn't too crazy about the running away part.  Now only if it would feel like May 1st outside...

Traveling South

We traveled to Hutch and Winthrop this last Saturday to celebrate cousin LorRae's first communion.  Greta made a stop at Grandma and Grandpa's to see the horses and chickens.  She was very interested in watching the horses, but didn't want to sit on one yet.  Maybe cousins LorRae and Logan will have to show her how to ride this summer.  She also picked her first chicken egg with Grandma.
