St. Patty's Day and May Day!

Greta was in shock that the leprechauns came and messed up her bathroom when she was sleeping.  They even pee-peed GREEN!

These two didn't disappoint and delivered their cute little May Day baskets again.  Once again, they got away without any smooches.

Visit to Old Papa's (March 2015)

I decided that today is the day.  The day I need to get caught up on this blog.  So here's my first post from back in March.  We were lucky enough to get to make a trip to visit Old Papa for the weekend.  Greta was pretty excited to get to stay at Old Papa's house, and quite surprised he had toys for her to play with.  Old Papa also spoiled these two with a trip to the toy store to pick out a special treat.

Valentine's Day!

Greta would tell you, "it was the best Valentine's Day ever!"  It started with Oma coming for a visit bringing a "party in a bag" for Greta's Valentine's treat and a toy dump truck for Gabriel.  They had party after party, and the parties were continued with a preschool party and then a party at daycare.  We ended our Valentine's weekend with a getaway to a water park in Brainerd.
One of the many parties with Oma.

Greta with her school valentines and crazy hat.

Special Valentines from Tante & Tee and Henry & Lydia also arrived in the mail.

My little goofballs on Valentine's Day!

Watching some morning cartoons in the hotel room waiting for the pool to open.

Gabriel's favorite part of the trip was running and falling down on the bed.

Anxiously waiting for the pool to open.

At last...swimming!

And Greta's favorite part of the trip...the waterslides!  This waterpark was perfect for younger kids, because Greta was able to touch the bottom of the pools and go on all the water slides.  We'll be looking forward to our annual Brainerd trip next winter!

18 Months!

It's hard to believe my sweet boy is 18 months already!  He's turning into quite the little toddler.  Greta's been having fun teaching him new words, with the latest being yellow and bubble.  Anything that is round (including the large, round, red target circular statues, oranges, apples, you name it)  is a ball and must be tested for it's bouncing ability.  He loves to try on shoes, clothes, mittens, and hats and wear them around the house.  He's still my little love bug and is always up for a snuggle, kisses, and  hugs!  We love him to the moon and back and over and over again!

18 Month Stats:
Height: 31.25 inches (13%)
Weight: 22 lbs, 14 oz (31%)
Head Circumference: 18.75 inches (56%)

Christmas 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas getting to celebrate with all of our family!

I sure do love this girl.

 My precious little boy.

One of Gabriel's favorite gifts was his own boy baby doll from Tante and Tee, which Greta helped him name, Thomas.  It was pretty cute to see him squeal in excitement when he saw what was in the package.

My beautiful daughter on Christmas day.

Kisses from Opa.

Greta and LorRae were both pretty excited about their Doc McStuffin's doctor kits.

Snuggles with Grampa.

Greta has been asking a couple times a week to wear her cheerleading outfit from Grampa and Gramma.

With Daddy having a break from work and school, there was some time for these two to go ice fishing.

My man on "ugly sweater" day.  I think Greta and I did a pretty good job!

Christmas Preparations

This time of year is definitely a favorite around the Gillespie house.  We've been busy with Christmas fun and preparations...Jesus's birthday party at our church, gingerbread houses, Santa dance, hot chocolate, listening to Christmas music, Jacuzzi baths, wagon and car rides to see the Christmas lights, finding Rosie the Elf, opening the Advent calendar, checking our stockings daily, watching Santa's reindeer and special messages from Santa on the computer, wrapping presents, making gifts, decorating the Christmas tree, and baking cookies.

First Haircut!

As Greta would say, our little Gabriel had some "strings" that needed to be cut.  He wasn't feeling the best, but he still did okay as long as Mommy held him to get his first haircut.  What a handsome boy!
