Maplewood

We took a visit to Maplewood State Park this afternoon.  I can't believe we've lived here for four years and hadn't checked out this beautiful place until now.  We're definitely going to have to make a return trip to try some hiking/exploring.

Oma and Tante came for a few days to spend some time with Greta and took these pictures.  Doesn't G-Mary look like she's ready to start kindergarten?  I know they must have had a wonderful time with lots of playing and "nacks," because Greta was pretty disappointed when she woke up the morning after they had left:(

Friday Night Lights

Well, I guess it's official...football has started and summer is over.  Greta and Mommy spent Friday night cheering on the Hornets and enjoying "popporn" and coffee (aka hot chocolate).  For some reason Greta insisted she was drinking coffee, and kept asking for more coffee during the game. 

 

On a side note, Mommy got to use her new birthday camera.  Thanks Daddy and Greta!

The Big 3-0

Turning 30 really isn't too bad when you're treated to a DQ blizzard cake, a new Canon camera, a night out, a delicious Mexican meal, and the day spent with your family:)
