Visitors

Gramma Mary and Auntie Kathryn came to visit this weekend. We had fun visiting, playing games, and bumming around town. The baby even showed off his/her new tricks and kicked so they could both feel and see it. Gramma also read the little one stories, which I'm sure he/she enjoyed. Baby and I are going to miss them, but know we will get to see them again soon.

The "Joys" of Pregnancy

We had another pregnancy milestone last night. I've been feeling "flutters" for a few weeks, but nothing that anybody else could feel. Last night while lying in bed, I felt some true kicking. Daddy was even able to put his hand on my stomach and feel those powerful 3.61 cm feet go to work. Pretty amazing! The other, not so amazing, thing I noticed last night was the beginning of stretch marks. I have little red spider veins popping up over my stomach. Let's just say an extra layer of tummy butter was applied last night :)

20 Week Ultrasound and 5 Month Appointment

Five months already. I can't believe it. I've been feeling really good the last two months. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to stay this way. I've gained 8 pounds, and am averaging about 1-2 pounds a week now. Our ultrasound was on 1/21/10 (20 weeks, 4 days). According to the baby's size, our due date is now 6/6/10. It's getting closer to Daddy's and Papa Krump's birthdays and to the birth of our baby's first Krump cousin (Philip and Sarah are due 6/11 or 6/14). It's going to be a busy June to say the least.
Our little munchkin wouldn't move his/her hands away from his/her face during the ultrasound, so it was difficult to get a good face shot. We'll probably have a thumb sucker on our hands. As soon as I sat up after the ultrasound, I felt a lot of flutters, so I'm sure our baby was repositioning and posing perfectly. Heart rate was 154 beats per minute. Oh, and the sex is still sealed in the envelope believe it or not.

4 Month Appointment

We had our 4 month doctor appointment on 12/17/09. Heart rate was 160 beats per minute and stronger and easier to hear. I found out my blood type is A-, so I'll have a RhoGAM injection at 28 weeks for the negative Rh factor.

10 Week Ultrasound

This is the very first debut of our little one. Our first ultrasound was taken at 10 weeks, 3 days. Everything looked good. Heart rate was 162 beats per minute and pretty amazing to see.
