33-34 Weeks

Baby and Mommy keep growing and growing and growing. We had another appointment today. Dr. Nyhus listened to the heart rate with his stethoscope, and it was in the 140's-150's. Baby was showing off his/her tricks and was moving all over for the appointment. Dr. Nyhus continues to have no concerns. I've gained around 23-26 pounds and my blood pressure has been normal. Our next appointment is in two weeks and then we'll start weekly appointments.

Getting Closer to "D" Day!

I've come up with 5 signs that I may be getting closer to delivery...
1. People I haven't seen for awhile greet me with a waddle.
2. I can no longer keep up with Daddy shopping.
3. I'm always looking for the nearest chair, stool, or perch to rest.
4. Life is so much easier when I can get Daddy to give me a push/pull to turn or get out of bed.
5. I still find myself trying to suck in to get through small spaces, but it never seems to work.

We have our next follow-up appointment on Tuesday, April 20th. I spent the end of last week going to a pediatric course in Two Harbors. Oma came with, which was so nice. It's probably the last time for quite awhile that we'll have a few days by ourselves.

I measured my waist this last weekend and found out that Daddy and I are now the same size. I don't think he thought it was as funny as I did.

They started on the trim, doors, and hardwood floors at our house. Everything is looking good. After spending another Sunday at the laundry mat, we're really getting anxious to move in.

Painting

Daddy's been busy painting, so I thought I'd share a few pictures. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turn out the best, so the colors are a little different in real life. I guess you'll just have to come and visit when we're moved in to get a true picture. The second and third pics are of our guest bath, the fourth of our master bath, and fifth of the munchkin's room.

We start our first of six weeks of prenatal classes tomorrow night. Even though I work at the hospital, I'm looking forward to getting a tour of the birthing unit/rooms. I don't think that's until our third week of class, though.

Easter

This was our last major holiday without the little one. We spent it at Oma and Opa's house. My mom decided she would like to be called Oma for her German heritage. As always, we ate too much and the trip went by way too fast. The Easter Bunny brought the baby a couple of onesies, which will get some good use. The top picture is of the cousins. It's always fun getting together and comparing baby experiences with Sarah.

We found out on Thursday night that we can start painting the house, so Daddy was put to work Friday and this evening. He mastered the ceiling edges tonight, so we're in good shape. I'll have to take some pictures later this week and post again. I hope everybody had a good Easter!

Seven Months

We had our 7 month check-up today and everything continues to look good. Heart rate was 148-160 beats/minute. When I first laid down on the table, we could see the baby's little butt sticking up. I'm starting to feel/see different body parts push up against my stomach. The baby continues to be very active, especially at night, but I'm feeling a lot more during the day now as well. Appointments are now going to start every two weeks.
We've been busy with house decisions. For two people as indecisive as Bryan and me, I'd say we've done a pretty good job. We have our cabinets ordered, are just finishing up our flooring order, and have picked out half of our paint colors. The house is coming along really nice. We (I mean Daddy) should be able to paint by next weekend.
We're heading to Gramma and Papa Krump's for Easter, so hopefully I'll get some pictures of the cousins. I hope everybody has a blessed Easter and safe travels.
