Chef Greta

Last Sunday morning we had chocolate chip pancakes and cheesy eggs compliments of Chef Greta.  As any good chef knows...you need to wear your chef hat so you don't get "shocolate" in your hair.

Little Man

It's hard to believe my little boy will be 3 weeks old tomorrow.  He had his 2 week appointment last Thursday and was 8 lbs and 21 inches long.  I was pretty happy with the 8 lbs as he had two stressful days of nursing strikes when he wouldn't eat.  He also had his little boy surgery, and he's well on his way to healing :)  I got my first little coo (which I'm sure was just a coincidence) the other day that just melted this mommy's heart.  He continues to be a little sweetheart and is slowly having a little more awake time.

Oma

I was lying in bed around 1:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday a little sad as my Mom left after spending about two weeks with us.  I looked around and my babies were sleeping, my house was clean, there was food in the fridge, and life was good.  Thank you for all your endless help with cooking, cleaning, playing with Greta, supporting me, and snuggling and caring for Gabriel.  I love you, Mom!

Firsts

We're all settling nicely at home.  Gabriel has been the BEST baby!  He's eating well, sleeping for four hour stretches at night (I hope this doesn't jinx me), and loves to be swaddled and snuggled.   He is such a little blessing.  Big sister Greta has been a great help with changing, swaddling, picking out clothes, and of course loves giving him lots of kisses and hugs.
Snuggle time with his big sister.

First bath at home given by Greta and Oma.

Gabriel has the cleanest little toes and feet.  Greta did a great job getting off all the ink from his footprints.

Daddy time.

First walk around the neighborhood at five days old.

Sleeping through his walk.

Bright eyes.

IT'S A BOY!

Gabriel Patrick Gillespie was born 8/2/13 at 2:46 a.m.  He weighed 8 lbs, 4 oz and was 20.25 inches long.  Mommy, Daddy, and Greta couldn't be happier!  He truly is a blessing from God.
