Mr. Gabriel Turns 1!

I must say it's a little bittersweet as my baby has just turned one years old.  He truly is the sweetest little boy, and I couldn't love him any more even if I tried!  He's so loving and eager to learn and explore.  I have loved watching him grow and change over this last year and am looking forward to the many years to come.  I loved you yesterday, love you today, and will love you tomorrow and always my Gabriel Patrick!

Gabriel's first celebration was in Wisconsin with his Godfather and Tante.

Tante and Greta made him a very special blueberry (his favorite) cake.

Up next was a celebration at Oma and Opa's house with Philip, Sarah, Henry, and Lydia.

And our final celebration was on August 2nd at our house with Grampa and Gramma Gillespie.
The theme this year was, "Red Truck" based on the book by Kersten Hamilton.  Gabriel loves pushing his trucks and cars around the house, while making little noises, so a truck party was perfect!

We had mustaches in honor of the cute little tow truck driver (thanks for the idea, Tante!).

Miss Greta Turns 4!

Once again we had fun celebrating Greta turning 4 and Daddy turning 33.  We celebrated with Daddy's ice cream cake the weekend before and then had a Frozen celebration on June 8th!

It's been our tradition the last two years to go get a doughnut for breakfast and then head to the park for some fun to let Daddy sleep in on his birthday.

This year Gabriel was able to join us!

Greta always chooses her favorite park (Lake Park), so she can throw rocks into the water.

Greta and her new bike!  (Mommy and Daddy bought the wrong size, so we had to exchange it for a smaller purple and pink one.)

Summer

What a busy summer it's been...picnics, parks, trips to the beach and splash pad, 4th of July celebrations, a campout in the back yard, trip to the zoo, vacation to the Cities and Wisconsin to visit family, playing in the backyard (sandbox, pool, swing set, and running through the sprinklers), turtle races, trips to the library, golfing, and finally a first trip to the dentist for Greta.  I guess it's no wonder I've fallen behind on the blog!

On our way to Glendalough State Park to have a fun day of swimming with cousins LorRae and Logan!

The girlies building their swimming pools in the sand.

Fourth of July brought a visit from Oma and Opa, fireworks, a grill out, and bonfire with smores!

Greta and Gabriel spent some time with Oma and Opa while Mommy went to a class in the Cities.  I think they were thoroughly spoiled!  Here's Greta enjoying the splash pad and lake.

Greta's first trip to the dentist.  She sat like a little princess while she got her teeth checked and cleaned.  She's also now been great at reminding Mommy and Daddy she needs to floss every night!
