EOT County Fair

The East Otter Tail County Fair did not disappoint this year.  Greta had a lot of fun looking at and petting all the animals, jumping in the bouncy castle (she wouldn't ride on any rides), enjoying lunch at the 4-H barn, and eating mini donuts for dessert.

37.5 Weeks

Well, I finally believe there is an end in sight, and I will soon be snuggling a sweet newborn.  I had another doctor's appointment today and everything continues to look good.  My cervix is "changing," but not thinning.  Dr. Nyhus's prediction is the baby will come around the next week and a half.  I try not to get my hopes up until the due date (8/8/13) has come and passed, but am definitely ready to meet our newest addition.

Chahinkapa Zoo

On Saturday we took a day trip to Wahpeton, ND to visit the Chahinkapa Zoo.  We had never been there and were quite impressed.  They also have a huge, beautiful carousal.  We paid our money and Greta was walking around with Daddy looking at all the horses.  She picked the one which was décor against the wall and wouldn't ride on the carousal.  There's always next time :)

Look at those peacocks running around over there, Mommy.

 The mountain lions.

I don't know if this tortoise would win any Perham turtle races.

Feeding the ducks with Daddy...

...and watching Daddy feed the ponies.

My two little monkeys.

Daddy and Mommy picked ice cream for their treat, but Greta had to go for the pink cotton candy.

A Windy, Hot July

We've been trying to enjoy the hot, windy July weather with some fun activities outside.

On the Fourth we headed back to Glendalough for another picnic and fun in the sun...

...and then came home to grill, throw some snaps, and light off a few fireworks.

We also took in the New York Mills summer festivities with another parade, petting zoo, and pony rides.  This was Greta's first time actually sitting on a pony.  After about 5 seconds she said she was done, but Daddy encouraged her to at least finish out the ride :)
