Winter Fun...At Last!!!

A few weekends ago, we FINALLY had a nice day when we could go outside and play!  Both kids enjoyed a sled ride down the street. Greta went sliding down the hill by Little Pine and built her first snowman, Olaf, for the year.  (We've also been into the movie, "Frozen" at our house...listening and dancing to the music.)

The Boys

The boys got together for another play date a few Friday's ago, and my have they grown!  Between sliding down the leather couch, arms flying, and Gabriel crying, it was a little difficult to get a good picture.

Gingerbread House

Our gingerbread festivities took place after Christmas this year; but nonetheless, was still a lot of fun.  Greta and Mommy enjoyed sampling all the frosting and candy to make sure it was edible, Daddy was our master mason, and Gabriel oversaw the whole project.

December

December brought Jesus's birthday party at our church, a Santa dance, return of Rosie the Elf, frigid cold temperatures (resulting in lots of time playing inside), and Christmas!

Greta was so good at helping Gabriel open his gifts and showing him everything he received.

We had a nice relaxing Christmas at home with Oma and Opa coming to visit.  The following weekend Greta and Daddy went to celebrate with the Gillepies, but unfortunately December also brought the sickies, so Mommy and Gabriel weren't able to go.

November

November brought our Tante back and Thanksgiving.  We had our first Thanksgiving feast at the Gillespie Quarters and then headed to Oma and Opa's house for the weekend.

I know I've mentioned it before, but Greta really adores her brother.  One day I asked her if she would ever want to go back to just Mommy, Daddy, and her; and she immediately said, "but I love my little Gabriel."

Morning snuggle time on one of Mommy's Fridays off.

I used to love going in the crib with Tante when she was a baby, so it was fun to see my two little ones do the same thing.  :)

Tante had games and projects to help keep these two busy.  They started with a game of feather hunting...

(counting feathers)

...and ended with Christmas tree decorating.

October

I guess having two kids, going back to work, and the holidays have put me VERY behind on my blogging.  I'm embarrassed posting Halloween pictures on New Year's Day, but I don't want these memories lost, so here they are...
Daddy and Greta were the expert carvers this year.

Gabriel in his penguin costume for the daycare party.

And later that night a frog.

Greta, unfortunately, was sick on Halloween and stayed home with Daddy.  She still dressed in her candy corn witch costume later that night and went to a few houses trick-or-treating.
