Easter Preparations

Greta's been busy preparing for Easter and our company.  Last night she helped make nest cookies from beginning to end.  She cracked the eggs, helped measure the ingredients, ran the kitchen aide, rolled the cookie dough in coconut, and finally added the "eggs" to her nests.

 

Half Way Point

On Friday we had our 20-week (acutally it's about 19 weeks) ultrasound.  The baby weighs about 9-10 ounces and is doing well.  The heart beat was a little slower this time (130 bpm during the ultrasound and 140 bpm at my doctor's appointment), which makes me wonder...I was convinced we were having another girl because during our first ultrasound the heart beat was 171 bpm and 160 bpm at my doctor's appointment.

Big Girl Bed

A weekend trip to IKEA, Target, and HOM Furniture and here it is...Greta's BIG GIRL BED!  She's now on night four and hasn't gotten up once.  A lot of this has to do with our wonderful daycare provider who already started Greta in a big girl (queen-sized) bed for her naps.

Bunny

Last night Greta was in her crafty mood, so we were busy painting, coloring, cutting, and gluing sequence when she decided she wanted to draw a bunny.  I told her what to draw and this is what she came up with...a head, eyes, nose, mouth, two big floppy ears, and then she added the hair in the middle.



Mickey

Last weekend we had this great idea to go outside and make snow sculptures.  Greta helped whip up some orange and black snow paint (food coloring and water in a spray bottle) with the plan to make a penguin family.  Unfortunately, the snow wasn't sticky enough so we settled for Mickey Mouse.



Our Big News...

 

Baby Gillespie is due 8/8/13!!!!

Henry

Henry Thomas came for a visit last weekend, and these two sure had a fun time playing, watching Mickey, swimming, and going out for pizza.  Here they are during their pajama party eating breakfast.

Juice

Greta and Daddy have been very busy making weekly juice with their new juicer.  Greta knows how the whole process works and has been a great helper!

Merry Christmas (Part 2)....Finally

The rest of our Christmas was spent at home opening presents and heading to Oma and Opa's Christmas day.  Sorry for the late and lack of pictures.  I promise I will try to do better :)
