"Pretty"
Greta's two main accomplishments this last weekend were starting to perfect her walking (she barely crawls anymore) and learning the word "pretty." It's "pretty" cute when she says it, because she uses such a sweet, soft voice. It's amazing everything she's learning. We've been working on body parts, but she hadn't said any of them, and then out of the blue she pointed to my eyes and said, "eyes." She's one smart cookie, and I'm so proud of her!
Greta enjoyed picking the "pretty" flowers in our yard. Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy don't think all the clovers are so pretty.

Playhouse
Greta and Daddy made a playhouse the other day while Mommy was at work. Greta had a lot of fun going in/out, opening/shutting the door, and looking out the windows. Unfortunately her fingers got caught under the door a few times, so the playhouse hasn't been as much fun lately.
Greta also had her one year check-up. Here are the stats:
Height: 31 inches (95th percentile)
Weight: 20 lbs, 3 ozs (32nd percentile)
Head circumference: 17.5 inches (32nd percentile)

Softball
Daddy is playing on a neighborhood softball team this summer, so every Thursday night Greta gets to stay up past her bedtime (which is normally 7:00) and gets to watch Team Brew play ball. Unfortunately it was a cooler night, so not many of her friends made it to the game. Greta is one loyal fan.
All eyes on the game.
Yeah, Daddy got a hit!

Happy Birthday!
To My Precious Daughter
My Dearest Greta Mary,
A year ago today, God blessed me with the most wonderful gift I could have ever hoped for...you as my daughter. Over this last year, you have given me more happiness than I could have ever imagined. You have turned into such a social, vibrant, loving, smart, and beautiful little girl, who will always make me proud. You have a special gift to make those around you smile. You mean the absolute world to me. I love you now and will love you always. Remember, "You are the one and only ever you."
Love,
Your Mommy
