Apple Orchard
Greta, Daddy, and Mommy took advantage of the nice weekend and headed to Maple Hills Apple Orchard for an afternoon of fun. Unfortunately, Mommy's favorite honey crisp apples weren't ready yet, so we settled for some pumpkins instead.

So many to choose from.
Greta loved talking to the chickens. We're planning on going to the zoo tomorrow, so I'm sure it will be a fun trip.

Salsa
Mommy was gone for the weekend at a wedding, but luckily Oma and Opa came to help watch Greta. Greta and her Oma worked on making salsa from all the tomatoes we've been picking from our garden. Thanks Oma and Opa for all your help this weekend! We love you!
Greta was an expert onion chopper with the food processor.

Mommy's Birthday!
Considering my 29th birthday had a few flaws, (worked all day, locked myself and Greta out of the house and had to break in through the window, and Daddy was gone all night) it ended up being a pretty good day. When I got home from work, Daddy had cleaned the house and had a lasagna in the fridge ready to put in the oven for supper, Greta had gotten me a delicious DQ cake, and I had my favorite one-year-old snuggle on my lap eating her snacks for an hour while we watched Daddy's first football game. I couldn't ask for a better family! I love you two!
As you can see, Greta was much more interested in her snacks and the people around her then the game.
My delicious cake. I had a piece of the "celebrate" because I love all the gel, and I wanted to keep the "Mommy" because that has been the best part of this last year...being Greta's Mommy. I love you baby girl!

The Big Day
Tante and Matthias were married last weekend, and we all had a great time at the wedding. Unfortunately, we were so busy that I didn't get a chance to take a single picture. Thanks to Great Aunt Tillie we have a couple to share.
Flower girl Greta with the beautiful bride.
She thoroughly enjoyed her cake. She even gave her mama a little shout out when I was giving my matron of honor speech. She heard her name mentioned and of course had to yell, "hi, da-da!" We really need to work more on our "m" sounds :)
